Sania Mirza(TENNIS PLAYER)


Sania Mirza is the indian tennis star with sure eye catching style quotient. Recently the current youth icon of India, Sania Mirza was honored by Arjuna Award. This prestigious award is given to achivers in sports.

Famous for her style, fashion and looks (like many other tennis stars), Sania Mirza creating big waves on the tennis courts.

Born in City of Mumbai in India, and coming from Hyderabad, Sania Mirza, the youth icon of India is creating history in Tennis worldwide. She is the first Indian to get into Top 50 WTA Ranking.

Sania Mirza Indian tennis star the 18-year-old, who recently became the first Indian woman to enter the fourth round of the US Open Grand Slam, battling her physical problems as well as her own mechanical errors overcame 65th-ranked rival Mashona Washington and became the first Indian in history to win a match at the US Open Grand Slam.

Sachin Tendulkar



Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, famous cricketer was born on April 24, 1973 in Mumbai.
He had his schoolin at Sharadashram Vidyamandir School in Mumbai.
He started playing cricket at a very young age.
He played his first international match at the age of 16, which was a record at that timeSachin's debut match was against Pakistan in a test match on 1989. His one-day international (ODI) debut was on December 18 against Pakistan.
His maiden ODI century came on September 9, 1994 against Australia in Sri Lanka at Colombo, just six years after his debut. Starting there, he has so far scored a record 38 ODI centuries.
Sachin now holds the record for having taken most one-day runs (13500+) and centuries (38).
He belongs to the group of rare sportsmen and his records might never be broken.
Sachin Tendulkar has also captained India for few years.
Tedulkar had his love marriage with Anjali Mehta, a Gujarati doctor.
They have two children Sarah (daughter) and Arjun (son).

Michael Gerard Tyson (born June 30, 1966) is a former two-time American world heavyweight boxing champion and is the youngest man to win the heavyweight title. During his prime in the late 1980s, Tyson was considered one of the greatest heavyweights and one of the most recognizable athletes in the world. Nicknamed "Iron Mike Tyson", "Kid Dynamite" and "The Baddest Man on the Planet" Tyson adopted the Muslim name Malik Abdul Aziz, after his conversion to Islam while in prison for his rape conviction

Dhanraj Pillay's(HOCKEY PLAYER)


Dhanraj was born in Powai as the fourth son of Nagalingam Pillay and Andanamma at Khadki in Maharashtra. He was born in India to Tamil parents.Dhanraj Pillay's debut in international hockey was in 1989 when he represented the nation on the Allwyn Asia Cup in New Delhi.Dhanraj Pillay, whose career spanned from December 1989 to August 2004, played 339 international matches. He is the only player to have played in four Olympics (1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004), four World Cups (1990, 1994, 1998, and 2002), four Champions Trophies (1995, 1996, 2002, and 2003), and four Asian Games (1990, 1994, 1998, and 2002). India won the Asian Games (1998) and Asia Cup (2003) under his captaincy. He was also the highest goal scorer in the Bangkok Asian Games and was the only Indian player to figure in the World Eleven side during the 1994 World Cup at Sydney.
He is the recipient of India's highest sporting honour, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award for the year 1999-2000. He was awarded the Padma Shri, a civilian award in 2000. Dhanraj is one of the most gifted forwards of his era with a small frame and flowing locks, he could wreak havoc in rival defences. He was the winning captain of the victorious Asian Games 2002 hockey team.
Pillay is currently involved in trying to start a hockey academy at Bombay. To raise funds for his academy he is heading a drive to collect empty plastic printer cartridges in Bombay and sell them to a European recycling firm.
